Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the full name given to her parents. Lennox went to the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She studied the harpsichord and the flautist piano for three years. Her budget was supplemented by a stipend for students as well as part-time employment. Lennox felt that her skills were inferior to those of those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she began thinking about other options she could pursue. Lennox was a part of a group known as Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. She quit the band before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. She was the main singer of The Tourists a British pop group from 1977 until the year 1980. It was during this time that she got to know Dave Stewart with whom she would form her pop group Eurythmics. After that, Lennox started working on her solo first album Diva that came out in 1992. The album garnered a lot of praise from critics and the public. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album debuted in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her favourite blues and soul songs. Lepidoptera includes four keyboard improvised tracks. The E.P. is a companion piece of her artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now, I'll let You go... It is also her first independently released album. Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer and songwriter who was born on December 25, 1954. At the end of the 70s, she gained a little fame when members of The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international notoriety in the 80s under the name Eurythmics. Lennox started her solo career in 1992, with the release of Diva that featured a number of successful songs such as Why and walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is her album of studio work from 1995. It has covers of some songs, including The No MoreI I Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her six studio solo albums as well as her compilation album include a number of songs. |
